🛣 How to Reach Stay in Chianti (Via Roma 15, Greve in Chianti)
From Florence (approx. 45 minutes):
- By Car:
Take the Autostrada A1 south (toward Rome). Exit at Firenze Impruneta and follow signs for Greve in Chianti / Siena (SR222 – Chiantigiana road). Drive through the rolling hills of Chianti until you arrive in Greve’s main square, Piazza Matteotti. Our apartment is just off the square on Via Roma 15. - By Bus:
From Florence’s Autostazione SITA (next to Santa Maria Novella train station), take the bus toward Greve in Chianti. The ride is about 1 hour. The bus stops right in Piazza Matteotti — only a 2-minute walk from the apartment.
From Rome (approx. 3–3.5 hours):
- By Car:
Take the Autostrada A1 north (toward Florence). Exit at Valdarno and follow signs for Montevarchi – Greve in Chianti, winding through the Tuscan hills until you reach Greve. Alternatively, you can exit at Firenze Imprunetaand drive the scenic Chiantigiana (SR222) south. - By Train + Bus:
Take a high-speed train (Frecciarossa or Italo) from Roma Termini to Firenze Santa Maria Novella (about 1.5 hours). From there, follow the Florence directions above by bus or car.
